**Great Uncle**

Gotlieb was the son of Theodore and Wilhelmina Franke, and a brother to my Grandma Erbes. He lived for 2 and 1/2 years. He was a twin to Theodore Jakob who preceded him in death. Theodore lived for only 23 days.

The Old Baden Burial Ground (Cemetery) was closed years ago and the stones were piled in a corner. Some were broken. Recently, a large Memorial was made from some of the markers found, honoring those buried in this cemetery in Ontario, Canada.

The twins, Gotlieb and Theodore, were on the same grave marker. Their stone marker was prominently positioned on the Memorial marker.

Translation of the German inscription on the twins' stone:

Here lie in peace, twins of the married couple Theodor Franke/Wilhelmine Stephan

1.Theodor Jakob 1.Theodor died 27 April 1861
2.Gottlieb Hermann 2.Gottlieb died 18 Nov. 1863

May God watch over you and me/in the silent bedchambers/we hope for your resurrection/look forward to when we will meet again.
