Delayed in transit by the storm which ravaged Pryor, Okla. Tuesday night, body of J. W. INMAN, 15 year-old native Abilenian who died Monday morning in Muskogee, arrived here on the Sunshine Special early last night.
Funeral will be held at Elliott's chapel at 3:30 p.m. today, with Dr. M. A. JENKENS, pastor of the First Baptist church officiating. Burial will be in Cedar Hill cemetery.
INMAN succumbed Monday in the Muskogee General hospital from a cerebral concussion received early Saturday morning in an automobile collision in Muskogee.
The body was placed on a train Monday, scheduled to arrive in Abilene early Tuesday, but the Pryor twister caused a long delay in train traffic, Elliott's Funeral home reported.
INMAN was born in Abilene Oct. 23, 1926 and lived here until April 1941, when his parents, Mr. and Mrs. E. L. INMAN moved to Wichita Falls. From Wichita Falls the family moved to Muskogee in the fall of 1941. The youth was a graduate of Travis elementary school and attended high school here until April, 1941.
In addition to the parents, survivors include one brother, Wesley 12, and a sister, Bessie 17. Mr. and Mrs. INMAN were Abilene residents for more than 20 years.
