From the Wabash Plain Dealer in Wabash, Indiana ... Saturday, November 10, 1928
B. F. Enyeart, 71, watchman on the Huntington Street crossing for the past nine years, passed away this morning at 3:30 o'clock at the Wabash Railroad Hospital at Peru. Mr. Enyeart had been failing gradually for several months, suffering with kidney trouble and leakage of the heart.
On October 23 of this year, he was taken to the hospital for treatment, and became much improved for a short while. For the past week however, he had been losing steadily, death ending his suffering this morning.
During the last ten years of Mr. Enyeart's employment with the railroad he had made his home with James Iden at 170 East Hill Street. He was married in Wabash to Jane Ring who preceded him in death, 20 years.
Mr. Enyeart is survived by one brother, Joseph Raymond Enyeart of Kewanna, and the following children: Rev. C. L. Enyeart of Elwood, formerly a minister of Peru; S. R. Enyeart, of Danbury, Connecticut, Mrs. Edith Rish and Mrs. Cleo Daniel of Kalamazoo, Michigan; Mrs. Essie Brady of Michigan City, Ray Enyeart of Norwalk, Connecticut. One daughter, Mrs. Bertha Kennedy is deceased.
Word has been sent to the children living in the east, and if they can reach Wabash by Monday, it is probable that the service will be held Monday afternoon at the Wesleyan Methodist Church. Rev. E. E. Cory, pastor of the church will officiate and burial will be made in the Lagro Cemetery.
Mr. and Mrs. Enyeart were both members of the Wesleyan Church having been charter members of the local church.
