During many years, he was an influential and valuable member of the body politic.For a considerable time, he was Township Trustee, managing the concerns of his important and responsible office with faithfulness and discretion. He was greatly afflicted before is death departing this mortal life November 30 1874 in his fifty-seventh year, leaving a widow and six children to mourn his loss.
