Elsie was born to Thomas Carlos Emett and Lucy Philena Canfield she had 2 brothers, Don Thomas, David Carlos CARL,and 2 sisters, Olive Philena, Alice Lillian. Her father died of Smallpox when she was young. Her mother later married John Day Sr. They had 3 more children, John Jr and Henry (twins) and Emma Day. She married Neils Christensen Anderson 23 Nov 1910.
