Funeral services for Mr. Clyde Vernon "Bunk" Poole, age 73 of Hebert were held Thursday, December 12th, 2 P.M. at the Bethany Baptist Church with the Rev.'s Don Wright and Roy Moore officiating. Burial followed in the Bethany Cemetery under the direction of Riser & Son Funeral Home of Columbia.

Mr. Poole died Wednesday, December 11th at the Caldwell Memorial Hospital after a long illness.

Mr. Poole was a lifetime native of Hebert, a local building contractor, Deacon of Bethany Baptist Church, a Master Mason of Columbia Lodge No. 164 F & AM, and a veteran of WW II.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Margie Etier Poole, Hebert; 2 daughters, Mrs. Becky Poole Ledbetter, Columbia, and Mrs. Bunkie Poole Riser, Jonesboro; 4 brothers, Mr. Raymond Poole, Monroe, Billy Joe Poole, Hebert, Mr. John Hardy Poole, and Mr. Truman Poole both of West Monroe; 5 sisters, Mrs. Billie Heflin, Shreveport, Mrs. Josephine Howard, West Monroe, Mrs. Patsy Graves, Monroe, Mrs. Grace Zeagler, Grayson, Mrs. Myrtis Wilkes, Columbia. There were 4 grandchildren.

Masonic graveside services were held by Columbia Lodge No. 164 F & AM.

Pallbearers were Bennie Washam, Russell Girod, Billy Ray Jones, Marvin Parker, Paul Etier, and Allen Maxwell.
