Jane Booth was born in Belmont County, Ohio, March10, 1819, and passed away in 1909 at 90 years and 2 months. Burial was in the Mt. Hope Cemetery, Battle Creek, Iowa.
She moved to Buchanan County, in 1861 and joined the Methodist Church in 1882. She left Iowa for Minnesota and lived there a few years and then came back to Iowa in 1890 making her home at Battle Creek and becoming a member of the Methodist Church here.
She was the mother of 9 children, 2 died in infancy. Nancy J. died in 1898; James H. died in 1902; Sarah died in 1903, and one died while in the Army.
Survivors include 3 children (two sons I.N. and H.B. Booth) and one daughter, Mrs. G. W. Spitzer, also 18 grandchildren, and 18 great-grandchildren
