The full name of Dorcas Ann Tanquary (nee Addington) Duke is in the John and Elizabeth Ann (Stevens) Duke Family Bible. The bible was transcribed in the Kentucky Ancestor's Periodical, Vol 47, No. 1, Fall 2011, p 202. On p 202 her full name is written out in the 2nd column with the Heading "Page 4". "Beaver Dam Notes: June 25, 1884
Editor Herald:
Mrs. Ann Duke, wife of Thomas Duke, Sr, died at her home near Bethel Church this morning at 1 o’clock. She was the daughter of Henry Addington, and one of 15 children. Her funeral will be preached at Bethel this evening at 4 o’clock. She was a good woman and leaves a host of friends."
