Hannah, as she preferred to be called, was the fourth of five daughters of Patrick Dever and Susanna Harrity Dever.
She was probably born in Mauch Chunk, Carbon Co., Pennsylvania. The town later changed its name to Jim Thorpe after the famous Olympian. The young family settled in Lambertville in 1861, and Hannah lived there for the rest of her life.
Hannah never really knew her father, having lost him in the Civil War when she was 2½ years old. She worked in a flax mill before her marriage.
She wed Wilson C. Price, a bootmaker, on Nov. 24, 1885 at St. John's Roman Catholic Church, Lambertville.
Hannah was a homemaker after her marriage.
The couple suffered great tragedy when it came to their children. Hannah gave birth to eight children in 11 years: John W. in 1886, Harry J. in 1887, Helen in 1889, Joseph in 1890, a stillborn daughter in 1892, Frederick in 1894, Paul in 1896 and Francis in 1897. Hannah's husband passed away three months before the last child's birth, and only the eldest two sons survived to adulthood.
John died in Philadelphia in 1955, and it appears that he had no wife or children. Harry died in 1916, leaving Wilson with one granddaughter, Helen M. Price Wilde, born in 1912.
Hannah outlived her husband by 25 years.
