Rosary was at 7 p.m. Thursday in Schooler-Gordon Funeral Directors Bell Avenue Chapel, 5400 S. Bell St. Mass will be at 10 a.m. today in Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church with Monsignor Rex Nichol of the church officiating. Burial will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Mr. Lucero was born in Roswell, N.M., on Dec. 28, 1923. He married Teresa Fajardo on Dec. 7, 1941, in Childress. He was a veteran of the Army and a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Edward Lucero Jr. of Amarillo; four daughters, Mary Sandra Cera, Patsy Lucero, Mary Louise Lucero and Virginia Lucero, all of Amarillo; a sister, Emma Levario of Amarillo; 23 grandchildren; and 36 great-grandchildren.
