Amzira Sr was the son of Absolam Green Reynolds and Kissiah Ann Malissa Goolsby and grandson of James & Jane Reynolds. His great-grandparents, Samuel and Mary Reynolds came to Franklin Co., TN in the very early 1800's from SC by way of GA. SAMUEL was a Revolutionary war SC patriot. Amzira Sr. married Clarasa Reavis on 10 Dec 1875. Amzira Sr raised his family in Lincoln & Bedford Counties, mostly around Wheel, Petersburg, and Singleton, TN. He died in the great flu epidemic of 1918, a year following Clarasa's death from a heart attack.
