MUNCIE - Jean Ann Young, age 51, went to be with her Lord Thursday, November 20, 2008, at her home after a courageous battle with cancer.
She was the daughter of James and Patricia (Nafe) Lee, born and raised in Muncie. She graduated from Delta High School in 1975.
She started at the age of 18 working for Lifetouch Portraits until retirement.
Her many interests included gardening, skiing and had an avid love for animals.
She was a member of the Fairlawn Church of Christ serving her Lord with gladness.
Jean Ann is survived by her devoted husband, Daniel Young of 31 years; her mother, Patricia (Nafe) Lee; one brother, Jerry (wife Marci) Lee; brother-in-law, Bruce Young; sister-in-law, Susan (husband Greg) Haisley; step mother-in-law, Donna Young; three nieces, Laura Haisley, Lauren Lee, and Abigail Lee; two nephews, Clinton Haisley and Mitchell Lee; she leaves many special friends who will miss her.
She is preceded in death by her father, James Lee; her mother-in-law, Shirley Young, and her father-in-law, Arthur Young.
A celebration of life service will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, November 25, 2008 at Elm Ridge Funeral Home with Brother Michael Barnes officiating.
Visitation will be from 4:00-8:00 pm on Monday, November 24, 2008 at Elm Ridge Funeral Home.
