Paul Rickenbach married Berta Bagley in the Salt Lake Temple on September 2, 1953. Paul was drafted into the US Army and send to Germany as a Court Reporter. Berta Joined him in Germany where they lived until Paul finished his tour of duty in the army.

They moved to Provo, Utah, where their first two daughters, Pauline and Kathleen were born. After graduating from BYU, they moved to California where Paul earned his degree in Physical Therapy at the University of Southern California. Their third daughter, Lynne was born in North Hollywood, California.

They moved to Canoga Park, California, where they lived for 29 years. In 1990, they moved to Bakersfield, California. Paul passed away on October 26, 2003, in San Francisco,
California. Berta still lives in Bakersfield, California.

Paul Rickenbach of Bakersfield, California, a loving husband, father, grandfather and brother, passed away October 26, 2003 in San Francisco California.

He was born May 8, 1931 in Monroe, Utah to Joseph and Vera Magleby Rickenbach. Paul graduated from Richfield High School excelling in basketball and track.

He graduated from Brigham Young University with a Bachelors degree and teaching credentials in Physical Education. He also received a graduate degree from the University of Southern California in Physical Therapy.

He worked as a Registered Physical Therapist for 43 years. He was employed at Bakersfield Memorial Hospital at the time of his death. He was a court reporter in the U.S. Army, serving in Germany during the Korean War. He was active in the L.D.S. Church, serving in many positions including; Bishopric, High Priest Group Leader, Elders Quorum president and Stake Missionary.

Paul is survived by his wife, Berta;. Children, Pauline (Scott) Ries, Kathleen (Scott) Williams, Lynne (Anthony) Tuttobene; Five grandchildren, Jennifer and Christopher Ries, Alison, Alex and Natalie Williams; sister, Virginia (Clark) Stewart; and brother, Dean (Dixie) Rickenbach.

Funeral Services will be held Saturday, November 1, 2003, at 11 a.m. in the Koosharem LDS Ward Chapel. Friends may call at the Magleby Mortuary, 50 South 100 West, on Friday from 6-8 p.m. and Saturday at the Koosharem Ward Chapel from 9:30-10:30 a.m. Burial in the Koosharem Cemetery. Funeral Directors: Neal S. Magleby & Sons Mortuary, Richfield, Salina & Gunnison.
