AGED LADY PASSES AT
HOME OF HER DAUGHTER
NEAR BUTLER WEDNESDAY.
_________________
On Wednesday afternoon last, at 4 o'clock, at the home of her daughter Mrs. Clem Waters, five miles west of Butler, occurred the death of Mrs. Mary Adams, widow of Mr. J. R. Adams, who at the time of his death was a prominent citizen of the county.
The cause of her death was due to infirmaties and old age, she being in her 83rd year having been born in this county July 16, 1844.
Funeral services and interment took place at Howard cemetery Thursday afternoon, conducted by a former pastor Elder Monsees, of Macon, and attended by a large gathering of friends.
The deceased was a fine old lady, a member of Shiloh Primitive church and her pious and consecrated life of usefulness is a rich heritage to the large family of splendid women and stalwart sons she gave to the world.

The surviving children are; Messrs. G. G. Adams, of Powersville; J. L. Adams, Miami, Fla.; A. C. Adams, Howard; and W. B. Adams of Junction City; Mrs. Clem Waters of this county; Mrs. Manning Hays of Powersville; Mrs. W. J. Culverhouse and Mrs. Alice Ellington, of Thomaston.
