NORMA M. HOFF Born in Omaha, Nebraska, on March 11, 1927; passed away in Portland, Oregon, on January 18, 2005, of heart failure. Survived by her children and their spouses, David Hoff of Fresno, Calif., Eric and Sherry Hoff of Pleasanton, Calif., Douglas Hoff of Auburn, Calif., and Cynthia and Stephen Harris of Hillsboro, Ore., eight grandchildren, Starr, Beau and Scott Hoff, Brian, Greg and Meghan Harris, Samantha and Ashley Hoff. Norma also has six great-grandchildren. Norma is also survived by brother, Roy G. Simkins of Trenton, N.J., and a sister, Sally L. Barrett of Reno, Nev. Preceded in death by Charles H. Hoff, her husband of 56 years. Longtime resident of the Castro Valley/Hayward area. Norma was a wonderful wife, mother and friend to her husband, children and grandchildren. Also, she was an accomplished ceramic teacher and china painter. Until recently she was active in the East Bay China Painting Association. Currently she has been residing in Hillsboro, Ore. Friends and family are welcome to join us in a celebration of her life. Services to be held at Chapel of the Chimes, 32992 Mission Blvd., Hayward, Calif., at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, January 27, 2005.
