Brother to Archibald and Marshall L Nelson. First wife was Delilia Strawn; they had Fielding. Second wife was Mary Jane Todd; they had William Housten, John Ervin, and Perry Franklin Nelson. Enoch was last seen by his son, Fielding Nelson, in 1863, at Hickory Station, Montgomery County, Arkansas, while home on leave from the Civil War. Two men rode up on horseback and took him away. He was never heard from again. Could have been Union Soldiers or Confederate Soldiers that killed him.
