Son of Orson Hyde Lance and Mahala Melvina Love

He was killed along with 30 other men on July 15 1902 in a mine explosion at Park City, Summit Co., Utah. He was never married.

Father Orson Hyde and mother Mahala Melvina went up to Park City to bury their oldest son while the rest of the children stayed behind. The night after the parents left, the children were awakened by beautiful music. They all stood by the window and listened, no one else in Giles heard it, just the children. Orson Hyde Lance said it was the Angels letting the family know it was all okay.
