John Henry Adey, 69-year-old life-long resident of Texas County and for many years a community leader in the Arthurs Creek neighborhood, died suddenly Monday afternoon following a heart attack.
Mr. Adey suffered a heart attack while working in the field . He was rushed to Houston and died suddenly a few hours later, after a second attack.
He had been a member of the school board for many years and was widely known throughout this section.
He is survived by his wife, two sons, four daughters, two brothers and one sister.
Funeral services will be conducted Friday afternoon at the Arthurs Creek school, under the direction of Elliott's.
