Archie was the oldest of ten children born to Mary (Rutherford) and Archibald Henderson Aisquith. Somewhere along the way, Archie dropped the first "i" in his last name and became Asquith. He was bron and raised in Virginia until his father died in 1894. His mother moved with all ten children to Washington, DC. Archie, along with three of the older brothers, supported the family. In 1904 he married Nancy Hebb Snouffer. Shortly afterwards, they moved to Cleveland, OH where they lived until his death in 1932 of injuries sustained in a car accident. Archie and Nancy never had children. Archie's wife, Nancy, is buried beside Archie with her parents in the Snouffer family plot at Rockville.
