"Canfield - Services will be at 1 pm Tuesday at the Lane-Williams Funeral Home for Mrs. Mabel Irene Kimmel, 76, of 282 Fairview Ave., a former Canfield teacher, who died of a brain tumor at 8:20 pm Friday in North Side Hospital, where she was admitted Easter Day. Mrs. Kimmel was born June 12, 1902, in Glenford a daughter of Elmer and Mary Rousculp Cotterman, coming here 38 years ago. She attended both Ohio University and Youngstown State University, and taught kindergarten in Canfield 17 years. Prior to that she taught at Fitch and Campbell. She was a member of the Canfield United Presbyterian Church, the Home Craft Club, Altima Gardeners, and the national state, and county retired Teachers Associations. She leaves her husband, Edgar, whom she married June 15, 1929; three daughters, Mrs. Joanne Speece, Mrs. Barbara Simmers and Mrs. Sandra Wertz, all of Canfield; a son, Jim of Boardman; three brothers, Homer Cotterman of Somerset, Walter Cotterman of Chillicothe, and Harold Cotterman of Herron; a sister Mrs. Gladys Andonian of Carlsbad, Calif; eight grandchildren; and a great grandchild. Friends may call from 7 to 9 pm Monday at the funeral home."
