Walter Ervin Moyer
Laketon, April 28 – Walter E Moyer, 55, a life resident of Laketon, died suddenly about 5:30 o'clock Friday morning in his home here.
The decedent was born Sept. 5, 1894 in Laketon the son of George N. and Rosetta (McLucas) Moyer. On Nov. 29, 1916 he married Helena Likens in Warsaw. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge in North Manchester.
Survivors include the widow, the father, four daughters, Mrs. Dale Newhard, Griffith, Mrs. Grayston Cripe, Danville, IL, Mrs. Harold Gearhart, Highland, and Mrs. Mark McCain, Bloomington; one son, Duane, IN University; four sisters, Mrs. Charles Speicher, Evanston, IL, Mrs. Noel Schull, Muncie, Mrs. Carl Zimpleman, North Manchester, Miss Celia Moyer, Laketon; two brothers, John, Laketon, and Robert, Gilead, and eight grandchildren. A son, Doyle, preceded him in death.
Funeral services will be held at 2 o'clock Sunday afternoon in Laketon E.U.B. Church with Rev. J.W. Dickinson, Winona Lake, assisted by the Rev. H.R. Steele, Laketon, officiating. Burial will be in Laketon Cemetery.
The body will be taken from the Voreis Funeral Home to the residence Saturday morning and friends may call there.
