A REUNION OF THREE ELDERLY SISTERS
An interesting and pleasant reunion took place yesterday at the home of Alderman Chas. W. Sullivan on Cascadilla street. This was the meeting of three aged sisters whose homes are widely separated, Mrs. Betsey Hutchings, of Kansas; Mrs. Roxie Hartson, of Michigan; and Mrs. J.M. Norwood, of Caroline, the eldest of whom is over 80 and the youngest over 70. They were the daughters of Dr. James Ashley, one of the early pioneers and earliest physicians of the town of Caroline and who lived to be 93 years of age. Another survivor of this long-lived family is the venerable Samuel P. Ashley in his 90th year now residing in western Nebraska, but who always lived in Caroline till about three and a half years ago, and was for a great many years one of its respected and widely known citizens throughout this county.
