His brother is the one that was killed in the Civil War - Phillip Walton Turner. His death is noted in The Buffalo Baptist Church records and his wife Mary, was given a letter of dismissal. She moved to Georgia and lived until her death, near her relatives and her brother-in-law Rice. Mary, Phillip W's widow received a Confederate Pension from Georgia.
