MR. ALLEN
LANETT -- Mr. Adron H. Allen, 72, of Lanett died Friday, May 21, 1999, at George H. Lanier Memorial Hospital in Valley.
Funeral services were held Monday, May 24 at 2 p.m. at Johnson Brown-Service Funeral Home Chapel in Valley with the Rev. Rusty Letson officiating. Burial followed in Langdale Cemetery in Valley.
Mr. Allen is survived by his wife, Alice Faye Allen of Lanett; two sons, Adron Thomas Allen Sr. of Mobile and Timothy D. Allen of Lanett; six sisters, Sybil Tittle of Pensacola, Shirley Henson, Barbara Nuncio and Ann Howard, all of Lanett, Jeanette Lippincott of Panama City, Fla. and Joyce Cobb of Roanoke; two brothers, Eurtice Allen of Clarksville, Tenn. and Greg Allen of LaFayette; and three grandchildren.
Born Jan. 4, 1927, in Chambers County, Ala., Mr. Allen attended Happy Valley Baptist Church in Huguley. He was a veteran, having served with the U.S. Army. Mr. Allen was formerly employed with WestPoint Stevens Lanett Mill and had retired from Dixie Mills in LaGrange, Ga. He was the son of the late Carrie Wood Allen and Rex D. Allen.
Johnson Brown-Service Funeral Home in Valley handled arrangements.
