Annie Liza (Chesnut) Davis was the 3rd of 7 children born to James Monroe Chesnut and Elizabeth Hays of Washington Co, FL. She married Joel 'Oscar' Davis in Vernon, Fl and had 10 children, all of whom were born in FL: Joel Brian 'JB,' Dellion, Cecil James 'Dick,' Grace Dee "Gracie", Jewel Liza, Homer Newton "Cebo", Myra Lane 'Laney,' Bonnie Civil (and unnamed twin who died at birth), and Crill Elizabeth.
She was widowed in 1935 and moved with her children remaining at home to her late father's Chesnut farm/land in Washington Co. She left there for Bay Co. during the early stages of WWII.
She lived in Panama City the rest of her life, dying there in 1972.
There was no finer Southern lady...
