Mrs. Johnson lived her life to the fullest as she did those things she loved to do most, cooking for her church family, working in her yard and collecting chickens. She was a member of Big Spring Primitive Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by parents, C.E. Rainer and Joy Rainer and sister, Elizabeth Rainer.
She is survived by her husband of 51 years, James A. Johnson of Florence: son, Clifton Nuel Johnson and wife, Lucia of Venezuela , South America; daughters, Christie Sims and husband, Keith of Star, Mayoung McClendon of Richland, and Viorley Donald of Florence; sisters, Johnnie Mae Peacock of Brandon and Jean Smith of Gulfport; ten grandchildren, James Johnson, Leanne White, Sarah Johnson, Jill Pearson, Keith Sims II and Ashley Sims, Kristin McClendon, and Wayne, Albert, and Christopher Donald; and ten great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers family requests memorials be made to South Rankin Resource Center, PO Box 180444, Richland, MS 39218.
