Jerome A. Mazac, 87, of Taylor passed away, Wednesday, October 1, 2008 at Will-O-Bell Nursing Home in Bartlett.

Visitation will be 6 to 8 pm with Rosary recited at 7 pm, Thursday, October 2, 2008 at Providence Funeral Home Chapel. Celebration of Life Mass will be 2 pm, Friday, October 3, 2008 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Taylor with Rev. Msgr. Lonnie Urban officiating. Burial will follow at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery.

Jerome was born on September 4, 1921 in Williamson County, Texas to Joseph and Hermina (Kasparek) Mazac. Jerome and Mary Valis were married on October 4, 1942 and were married for 66 years. He proudly served in the United States Army during WWII in the Pacific. He worked as a farmer and was a hard worker all of his life. He was lots of fun to be around and was always full of jokes. He loved listening to music, dancing, and was a wonderful singer. He loved to play tarocks. Jerome and Mary did yard work for many people in the area. He will be missed dearly by his friends and loved ones.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Albert Mazac and one sister, Elizabeth Volek.

Jerome is survived by his loving wife, Mary; brother-in-law, Frank Volek of Taylor; sister-in-law, Annie Klepac of Waller; brother-in-law, John Valis and wife Lillie of Taylor, numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Memorials may be made to either St. Mary's Catholic Church or School in Jeromeʼs memory.
