Eugene Doudt, 78, Hancock County farmer, was found dead in a barn at his Portage Township farm last evening. Dr. Byron S. Voorhees, Hancock county coroner, said that death was due to coronary occlusion.
Mr. Doudt was a graduate of an Indiana school for the deaf. He was born in Angola, Ind., and the family moved from Putnam County to Hancock County in 1940. He was also a member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church.
Surviving are his wife, Lena; son, Paul, McComb; brother, Kenneth, Bronson, Mich.; sister, Mrs. Ethel Clark, Stryker, O., and two grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in the Jones Mortuary. Friends may call at the mortuary from 2 to 5 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. today and tomorrow.
