Born in Chicago, IL on July 14, 1922, daughter of the late John Muench and Martha (Eberler) Muench, Mrs. Cashin lived in Wheaton, IL for 30 years. After living in a few other locations, she made her home for the last 40 years in Wilmington and Newark, DE. Mrs. Cashin, a devout Catholic, was a longtime, active member of Holy Child Church in Wilmington, where she volunteered for many years. She enjoyed golfing and bowling, and she loved to read. Most of all, she cherished time spent with her family, especially during their yearly summer vacations in Stone Harbor, NJ.

Mrs. Cashin leaves behind her loving and devoted husband of 64 years, William D. Cashin; her son, Robert Cashin (Connie) of Russiaville, IN; her daughters, Elizabeth Tosi (A. Michael) of Hockessin, DE; Susan McLaughlin (Martin) of Newark, DE; and Kathleen Perrott (Ronald) of Belleair, FL; her beloved grandchildren, Erin Shepherd (Charles), Jordan McLaughlin (Rachel), Lauren and Michael Tosi, Cameron and Dana Perrott, Shawn, Joy, Cory, and William Cashin; and great grandson, Colin Shepherd. She is also survived by her brother, John Muench of Grand Rapids, MI; and her sisters, Virginia Bjorn of Wauwatosa, WI; and Patricia Hyde of Orlando, FL.

The family would like to thank Odyssey Healthcare, especially Shalynn and Tanya, for their compassionate care during Mrs. Cashin's illness.

Friends may call 6-8 pm on Tuesday, November 18, at the Spicer-Mullikin Funeral Home, 121 W. Park Place, Newark, DE. Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 10:30 am, on Wednesday, November 19, 2008, at Holy Family RC Church, E. Chestnut Hill and Gender Roads, Newark, DE.
