G. W. Sinks, who died at Giddings, Tex., recently, was postmaster general under President Houston, when the Lone Star state was a republic, and was probably the last surviving cabinet officer of that official. Mr. Sinks was an Ohio man. (The Roanoke Times, May 19, 1892)
