Mrs. Mary Allen Ruff, the mother of Mrs. John W. Martin of Wellington, died at the home of another daughter, Mrs. Dan Latimer, At Paducah Sunday, July 28. She was 80 years of age. For the last 17 years Mrs. Ruff had made her home alternately with Mrs. Martin and Mrs. Latimer.
Mrs. Ruff was born at Little Rock, Arkansas, May 10, 1857, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. B. Evans.
She had been a member of the Methodist Church since she was 14 years of age.
Surviving Mrs. Ruff are three sons and four daughters, W. S. Ruff and M. M. Ruff of Richmond, CA; J. F. Ruff of Hot Springs, NM, Mrs. T. J. Northcutt of Freer, Mrs. Tom Martin of Munday, Mrs. John W. Martin and Mrs. Latimer. Thirty-eight grandchildren and one brother, Henry Evans of Deleon are the other survivors. Three children and her husband preceded her in death.
