MRS. McKINNEY
VALLEY -- Mrs. LaMerle McKinney, 79, of Valley died Thursday, June 10, 2004 at her residence.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 12 at 2 p.m. at Johnson Brown-Service Funeral Home Chapel in Valley with the Rev. Floyd Aikens, Brother Rusty Letson and Janice Howard officiating. Burial will follow at Langdale Cemetery.
She is survived by her husband, George S. McKinney; three daughters, Neil Mooney of Douglasville, Ga., Susan (Willard) Eason of Huguley and Charlotte (Roy Sr.) Britton of Oxford, Ala.; one son, Pat (Karen) McKinney of Marietta, Ga.; grandchildren, Denise (Scott) Leach, Michelle (Howie) Wolfson, Rob (Tabitha) Mooney, Courtney (Walt) Cash, all of Douglasville; Lindy (Carl) Worthy, Tammy (Les) McMakin and Beverly Eason, all of Cusseta, Tony Eason and Julie Eason, both of Huguley, Janet (Douglas) Harmon of Valley, Rodney White of Hoffman Estates, Ill., Roy Britton Jr. of Valley, Shelly (Scott) Aikens of Valley and Ryan Perry of Marietta; 25 great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Mrs. McKinney was born June 21, 1924 in LaGrange, Ga. She was a member of Happy Valley Baptist Church and a former member of the WMU.
The family will receive friends Friday, June 11 from 7 to 9 p.m. at Johnson Brown-Service Funeral Home in Valley.
