Graveside committal services for Bernice Ellen Bramrnell, 80, Cedar Rapids and formerly of Tipton, were held Sept. 11, 1999 at Red Oak cemetery, rural Tipton.
A memorial service was held Sept. 10 at Cedar Valley Bible church in Cedar Rapids, Rev. Richard Smith and Rev. Tom Fogle officiated. Murray Goemaat was the organist and John Rodriguez sang. Pallbearers were Gregg Riggs, Jason Dickens, Troy Riggs, Trent Riggs, Travis Guthrie, Tristan Guthrie and Tyson Guthrie.
Mrs. Brammell died Sept. 7 in Cedar Rapids, from complications of cancer.
The daughter of Howard Milton and Pearl Giles Beeghly, she was born Jan. 12, 1919 in Big Sandy, Mont. She graduated from Topeka (Kansas) high school in 1937. She married Willard Brammell on July 31, 1938 in Topeka Kansas.
Mrs. Brammell was a homemaker, mother and seamstress.
She attended the Tipton Bible church and Cedar Valley Bible church.
Mrs. Brammell is survived by her husband; 4 daughters, Anita Riggs and husband Charles, Ashland, Neb.; Dwanna Saltzman, Albuquerque. N.M.; Beth Dickens and husband Don, Warren, Ohio; and Sharlyn Guthrle and husband John, Cedar Rapids; a brother, Gerald Beeghly and wife Barbara, Sun City West, Ariz.; 12 grandchildren, Deborah (Riggs) Larnbert; Pamela (Riggs) Stevens; Gregory, Troy and Trent Riggs; Valerie Saltzman, Vonda (Saltzman) Zingg; Tonya and Jason Dickens; and Travis, Tristan and Tyson Guthrie; and 5 great- grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Hazel White, Monrovia, Calif.
