Hilda Gaylor Clark, 87, of Wilmington passed away, Tuesday, February 24, 2009.
Hilda was born in Duplin County, NC, on February 23, 1922, to the late Henry Bouie Gaylor and Alice Howard Gaylor. She was preceded in death by her husband John Samuel Clark, Jr., sister, Margaret Johnson, brother Wade Gaylor and infant brothers, Robert Henry Gaylor, and George Henry Gaylor.
Hilda was a longtime member of First Christian Church in Wilmington. She was a resident of Devon Park for many years and was a professional seamstress.
She is survived by two daughters, Patricia and husband John Campbell, Betty and husband Randy Rackley. Grand daughters, Jennifer and husband Will Stancill and Meredith Campbell. Sister Alice Rose, brother Don Gaylor and wife Will and sister-in-law Mary Beth Gaylor. Neices and nephews, Oletta Shiley, Raymond Stagmeier, Nancy Prendergast, John Stagmeier, George Stagmeier, Mary Faircloth, Susan Shenton, Catherine Cline, Henry Gaylor, Michael Gaylor, Beth Marshall, and Lynne James.
