Effie Ilean Holmes, 86, of Jackson, died Wednesday, Nov. 12, 2008 at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital.
She was a homemaker.
Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Fairview Cemetery in Dyersburg with the Rev. Murray Blurton officiating. Curry Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
The widow of Ernest D. Homes, survivors include a stepdaughter, Brenda Copeland of Dresden; and two stepsons, Larry E. Holmes of Huron and James Donald Holmes of Jackson.

Ernest Dees Holmes, 91, of Humboldt, died Tuesday, April 22, 2008 at Humboldt General Hospital.
He was retired as chief environmentalist for the Madison County Health Department after more than 20 years, a Pentecostal, a Marine Corps veteran of World War II and a former schoolteacher.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Curry Funeral Home with Bro. Tommy Rushing officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery in Dyersburg.
The family will receive visitors from 5-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Survivors include his wife, Ilean Holmes of Humboldt; a daughter, Brenda Copeland of Dresden; two sons, Larry Holmes of Lexington and Don Holmes of Jackson; five grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by a son, Jerry Ernest Holmes; his parents, Joseph and Lena Holmes; a sister, Bernice Adams; a brother, Herschel Holmes; and a grandson, Jerry Neal Copeland.
Pallbearers will be family members.
