Mr. Bishop was born on the plains of ND, near Ft. Yates, in a mud dugout. Son of Karl Henry and Edna Marian Sturtevant Bishop. He later moved to SD, where his family was involed in ranching. He joined the rodeo and rode broncs, bare backs and bulls in the rodeos arena. He married France V. Nelson of MN, in Dallas TX on Mar 25, 1940. They had five children, Janet, Frances, Patricia, Robert (Bobbie) and Linda. In 1943 Mr. Bishop took up the occupation of a pipeliner as a truck driver, a heavy equiptment operater and later as inspector. He worked for many differant companies throughout his life and provided a wonderful life for his family until his death.
