John Beadnell, 92, Dies After Brief Illness
SALINEVILLE - John Beadnell, believed to be the village's olders resident, died Friday (6 Apr 1956) at 4:15 p.m. at City Hospital after a week's illness. He was 92.
He was born here Aug. 15, 1863, the son of William and Sarah Beadnell. A retired coal miner, he resided at 3 North St. and was a member of the Church of Christ.
Mr. Beadnell is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Delila Goddard, Mrs. Mary Close, and Mrs. Anna George, and a son William Beadnell, all of Salineville and 19 grandchildren and 35 great-grandchildren. Services will be held Monday at 3 p.m. at the Kerr Funeral Home by the Rev. Donald Archer. Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery.
