Dwight E. Stubblefield, 100, of Bloomington, died at 7:27 a.m. Monday (Nov. 10, 2008) at his residence.
He was born Feb. 11, 1908 in McLean, the son of Leonard E. and Iva Hendren Stubblefield. He married Geneva Austin on Dec. 24, 1932 in Bloomington. She passed away May 15, 2003. He was also preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Donald Stubblefield and one sister, Dorothy Bossingham.
He is survived by two children, Suzanne (Bob) Quiggins and Rodger (Teresa) Stubblefield; three grandchildren, Gary L. (Lorraine) Stubblefield, Brenda S. Stubblefield and Gina L. (John) Henline and four great-grandchildren.
He attended First Assembly of God, Normal. He had formerly worked as an engineer for Illinois Power and Light Co., retiring in 1973.
