Dale Fox, 77, died at 8:45 a.m. Wednesday September 1, 1993, at Wood River Township Hospital. The son of the late Ivan and Claudia (Nussman) Fox was born September 20, 1915, in Witt. A lifelong farmer, he retired in 1980.
He married the former Betty Rowden on July 10, 1948, in Jerseyville. She survives. Also surviving are three sons, John, Tom and Joe Fox; and three grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. today at Gubser Funeral Home in Jerseyville. Visitation continues from 10 a.m. Friday until time of services at 11 a.m. at the First Baptist Church in Jerseyville. The Rev. Roger Jackson will officiate. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery in Jerseyville. Memorials may be made to the church, where he was a member.
