MRS. EMMA SMITH
Friends in this city were grieved Sunday to learn of the death of Mrs. Emma Smith, 66, widow of the late James Smith, which occurred at her home at 331 North Fayette street at 5:45 o'clock that morning.
Two weeks ago Mrs. Smith suffered a broken left hip and with other complications death resulted.
The deceased spent most of her life in this city where she was regarded as a highly respected citizen and a very likeable woman.
Besides her only son, Carl Smith, with whom she resided she is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Harry Hunt, of Cleveland, and Mrs. George H. Hawkins, of Chicago.
The funeral services will be held on Tuesday afternoon at two o'clock at the home with Rev. J. Stanley Mitchell officiating and the Klever Mortuary in charge. Interment will be made in the Washington cemetery.
