MCGRAW FUNERAL RITES ARE HELD in Calhoun City, March 30-
John J. McGraw, 37, of Vardaman, World War veteran, died at the Veterans Hospital in Memphis and the remains were brought back to this county for burial. He was a member of the Calhoun County Volunteer Company and received his initial training at Alexandria, LA. He saw service with the 1st Division of the Army and was wounded one time by gun-shot and was gassed. his health has been poor since being mustered out of service.
He is survived by his widow, the former Miss Lucille Penick; by two daughters, Joyce and Maylene McGraw; by three brothers, Jesse and Gordon McGraw of Indianola and Dolphus McGraw of Norfolk, VA; by four sisters, Mrs. S. T. Carter of Aberdeen, Mrs. S. H. Hurst of Houston, Mrs. L. H. Foster of Houston and Mrs. W. W. Foster of Indianola.
Funeral services conducted by the Rev. H. M. Collins, were held Thursday and burial was in the Hillcrest Cemetery at Vardaman.
