RETIRED FARMER DROPS DEAD, 80.
Argenta, Nov 15-Jacob Bennett of this city, while watching a game of horseshoe, expired suddenly Monday afternoon about 2 'clock.
Mr Bennett was a retired farmer about 80 years old. He retired about 8 years ago. He has made his home in this part of the country for the last 40 years, coming here from Ohio.His wife died about 12 years ago. A coroner's inquest is being held this afternoon. Mr Bennett leaves a number of children, grandchildren, and great grandchilden.

The funeral of Jacob Bennett who died Monday afternoon of apoplexy will be held Tuesday in the United Brethren Church.
BORN IN OHIO, Mr Bennett passed on his Eighty~first birthday last Feb. He was born in Shelby County, Ohio and came to Illinois in 1857. He was married in 1858 to Mary A. Moothart who died July~13~1903. He is survived by the following children: Mrs Sarah Stropeof Orleana;L.N. Bennett, Blue Mound; James L. Bennett, Houston Tex; Charles Bennett, Decauter; F.E. Bennett, Cleveland, Ohio; A.W. Bennett Caldwell Ida,Miss Minnie Bennett, Argenta.
