William Burden was born in NJ May 11, 1814 and died in Terre Coupee, Olive Township, St. Joseph County, IN Sep 03, 1878 (near New Carlisle). He married Catherine Salladay Nov 28, 1837 in St Joseph County, IN. She was born in OH Oct 06, 1818 and died Oct 16, 1881. They are buried at Hamilton Church Cemetery in Hamilton, IN, near Terre Coupee and New Carlisle. They had nine children from 1839 to 1858. In the 1850 Olive Township census their name is spelled Burdin.
