Mrs. Helen Bernice "Jackie" Aldridge Proctor, age 83, of Tucker, passed away November 4, 2008 at Grace Health Care in Tucker, Georgia, following a brief illness.
Born in Nassau County, Florida, Mrs. Proctor had lived in Pierce County for most of her life until moving to Charlton County for 20 years then moving to the Atlanta area 4 years ago. She was of the Pentecostal faith. Mrs. Proctor was a daughter of the late Eugene & Leila Mizell Aldridge and was also preceded in death by her husband, Marion Moore "Doc" Proctor; and her two sisters Juanita Tomlinson & Rita Murphy.
She is survived by two sons, David Proctor of Tucker and Ken Proctor of Decatur, a sister, Eugenia Ponsell of Baxley; her four-legged grandchildren, Baxter, Roscoe, Moe and Rosie and several nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
Funeral services for Mrs. Proctor will be held at 11 o'clock Friday morning (November 7, 2008) from the Pearson-Dial Funeral Home Chapel.
Interment will be in the Shiloh Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Thursday evening (November 6, 2008) from 6 until 8 pm at the funeral home.
