Olivia Pauline McDaniel, 88, of Martin, died Tuesday, Oct. 28, 2008, at Martin Healthcare and Rehab Center. Services were held 11 am Friday at Bowlin Funeral Home Chapel in Dresden, with Bro. Terry Griffin officiating. Burial was in East Side Cemetery in Martin. Kerry McDaniel, Tommy McDaniel, Junior Lawrence, Donald Lawrence, Randy Whitt, and Bill Walls served as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers were Ronnie Lawrence and Kenneth Allen.

Mrs. McDaniel was born in Henry County, daughter of the late John and Jessie Mae Ridenger Lindsey. She was the widow of Elbert Reavis McDaniel, a housewife and dietary service worker at Volunteer Community Hospital and a Baptist.

Survivors include two sons, Junior (Linda) McDaniel and Randall McDaniel, both of Martin; one half-sister, Marie Blackburn of Dresden; four grandchildren, Kerry McDaniel of Dresden, Melony Driver and Amanda McDaniel, both of Martin, and Lindsey Middleton of Jackson; and five grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by one son, Terry Wayne McDaniel; three brothers, Charles Lindsey, Grover Lindsey, and Fonzo Lindsey; and one granddaughter, Lorie McDaniel.
