Dies Monday at Hospital After Brief Illness
Joe S. Locke, farmer and lifelong resident of Quincy township, died at 8:30 p.m. Monday at Wade Memorial Hospital following a brief illness. He was 68 years old.
His widow and a daughter, Katherine Colvin of Coldwater, and a granddaughter survive.
Mr. Locke was born Nov. 19, 1865 in Quincy township. He devoted his entire life to farming and was a member of the Quincy and Branch County Pomona granges.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at the residence, with the Rev. S.W.L. Scott . pastor of Latter Day Saints church, officiating. Burial will be in Lakeview cemetery at Quincy. Arrangements are in charge of the McConkey Funeral Home.
