Catherine Beeby.
And at evening there shall be light. Entered into rest on the morning of March 23d. 1922, Catherine Beeby, daughter of the late Peter and Rhoda Devendorf. The death of Mrs Beeby came as a shock to the community, for she was only ill for about 36 hours of pneumonia. She had been a woman whose rare personality was enhanced by unusual and winning charm, to which was added-tbe culture and poise of intelligence. Born in the town of Hastings July 11th, 1838. and lived here practically all her life. It can be truly said by her friends "to know her was to love her." She was a charter member of the Waterbury Relief Corps and was the widow of the late Henry Beeby. whose death occurred last May. Mrs. Beeby
is survived by five children, Charles, Fred, Kittie and Mrs. Fred Loren, all of Central Square, and Mrs. Judson Clark, of Syracuse, and also 13 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Funeral was held at her home in Central Square on Sunday afternoon, conducted by the Rev Miss Zoby, pastor of the Universalist church.
