LAWRENCE - Graveside services will be Tuesday at Oak Hill Cemetery here for Alpha Josephine Dicker, 101, who died Saturday at a Lawrence nursing home where she had lived more than 20 years. She was born Dec. 23, 1874, in Lawrence. Her family was a pioneer Lawrence family, her father was the founder of the former A. J. Dicker Grocery store in Lawrence.
Miss Dicker lived in Lawrence all of her life. She was a member of the Northern Lawrence Christian Church. Survivors include nieces and nephews. Warren-McElwain Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
