Tollie L. Austin Dies Here Sunday Night
Mr. Tollie L. Austin, former assistant secretary of the Alabama Senate, died Sunday, January 13th at his home here. He was 82 years old.
He was the eldest son of the late William A. and Susan Sims Austin, prominent pioneer citizens of Elmore County. He was the brother of the late W. A. Austin, former sheriff of Elmore County.
Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon from Evan Funeral Home at 3:00 o'clock with the Rev. J. Albert Hill officiating.
He leaves one sister, Mrs. Ola Bloxom, Miami, Fla., and several nieces and nephews.
