Ruth Anne Daubenspeck, 71, died Nov. 2, 1999, at her Anchorage home. A funeral was held at Evergreen Memorial Chapel, 737 E St., with Pastor Cotton of Grandview Baptist Church officiating. Visitation was for one hour prior to the service. Burial and a graveside services were at Anchorage Memorial Park Cemetery.

Mrs. Daubenspeck was born May 15, 1928, in Baden, Pa. Before moving to Alaska in October 1990. She had worked with Travelers Insurance Corp. in Seattle, Wash., for 17 years. She had been a member of the United Methodist Church of Queen Anne in Seattle. Mrs. Daubenspeck had volunteered her time and services at the Providence Alaska Medical Center gift shop. She enjoyed gardening and playing bingo and pinochle with friends.

She is survived by her sons, Douglas A. Swan of Seattle and Gary E. Swan of Anchorage; daughter, Mary Anne Clayton of Kent, Wash.; grandsons, James Swan of Spokane, Wash., Cord Snell of Anchorage, Darrel Swan of Kasilof, Justin Swan of Anchorage and Ben Clayton of Seattle; granddaughters, Chrissy Clayton of Washington and Paula Clayton of Kent; and her brother, John J. ''Jack'' Daubenspeck. Arrangements were by Evergreen Memorial Chapel, 737 E St., Anchorage.
